Les Archives Vivantes

Where every exhibition becomes a stage, and every artwork a character

— Art as Living Theatre

Les Archives Vivantes is a Paris‑based curatorial studio dedicated to transforming exhibitions into narrative experiences. Drawing on the richness of Western literary and theatrical traditions, we design visual journeys where artworks converse, respond, and create a living story within the space.

Our approach blends contemporary art, scenography, and cultural heritage to craft exhibitions that resonate with international audiences.

Art as a Living, Breathing Narrative

Narrative Exhibition Design

Each project unfolds like a performance, guiding visitors through a carefully composed storyline where artworks interact as characters on a stage.

Immersive Scenography

We create environments that evoke the world of an illustrated tale: spaces that invite viewers to step into a visual narrative.

Our selections highlight connections between contemporary art, literature, music, and the performing arts, building bridges across creative disciplines.

Founder

Meng‑Fei Liu, also known with her artist's name Nereid, is a curator and academic researcher whose work bridges contemporary art, theatre, and classic literature. Meng-Fei hold advanced degrees in French literature, theatrical arts, and fashion communication in Paris. After deciding to quit the doctorate study in the second year, she founded Les Archives Vivantes in 2025 to explore the theatrical potential of exhibitions.
Her curatorial vision transforms each show into a narrative experience: where artworks become actors, and the space itself becomes dramaturgy. Prior to this, Meng‑Fei created 'Nereid, elle rêve', a platform dedicated to ballet and opera criticism, reflecting a lifelong passion for scenographic emotion and narrative form.
